# clawpi
indie2025Self-hosted daily driver. Mac mini + Telegram.
## what
ClawPi (Claude + pi) is my daily driver. It runs on a Mac mini through OpenClaw, talks to me on Telegram, and routes to whatever model fits through OpenRouter.
It tracks my tasks, decisions, and blockers across projects, and tells me what matters most today. That took a real weight off my head. On this site it's the orange helper in the corner.
Next experiment: running Hermes beside it, to see which one does the job better, or if one can manage the other.
## why this approach
My memory and my tasks are mine. I don't want them living inside one AI company's app.
ClawPi keeps everything on my own hardware, and it can swap models any time. If a better AI shows up tomorrow, I replace it and lose nothing.
## what breaks
Privacy guardrails get in the way. The things I keep from it are the things it could help me with most.
## what i learned
Always-on changes what I ask. Questions that weren't worth opening a session become routine.
The things I wouldn't paste into ChatGPT have a home now.
